Acceptance and Advocacy Grant Program

Funds raised through Walk with Autism stay right here in Southern Utah. New this year, we are proud to begin sponsoring special education classrooms throughout the Washington County School District, helping provide sensory equipment, adaptive learning materials, communication tools, and other resources that support student success.

We will also continue offering Educator Advocacy Grants to help teachers bring innovative ideas and needed resources into their classrooms, while proudly supporting Root for Kids and its early intervention services for local children and families.

Acceptance and Advocacy Grant Timeline

We are proud to announce that we are now an affiliated chapter of The Arc, the world’s largest community-based organization of and for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Becoming an affiliated chapter significantly broadens our scope and strengthens our ability to serve our community in meaningful ways.

This affiliation reflects our commitment to serving the full IDD community and expanding our mission beyond a single diagnosis. We are excited for this next chapter and for the opportunity to deepen our impact, foster inclusion, and ensure every individual and family feels seen, supported, and valued. Exciting things are on the horizon!

Our Purpose

Walk with Autism is a local nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting awareness, acceptance, and inclusion for individuals with autism right here in our Southern Utah community. Our mission is simple but powerful: To invest in local businesses, schools, and community resources that provide meaningful support and services for individuals and families affected by autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

We believe that while autism exists on a spectrum, access to care, resources, and opportunity should not. Every individual deserves equal support — no matter where they fall on the spectrum. Walk with Autism was born out of both personal experience and a deep commitment to building a more inclusive world. What began as a small grassroots effort has grown into a movement of connection, understanding, and change. Every dollar we raise stays right here in our community, supporting schools, therapy centers, recreational programs, and other local initiatives. We’re proud to say that 100% of donations go directly back into Southern Utah, helping hundreds of families thrive.

This is a great cause for a great community — and we're just getting started.

We invite you to learn more about why we do what we do, how we got here, and the hope we carry for the future.
